Robert’s rules of order are a collection of rules put together in the 19th century, attempting to define the principles of parliamentary procedure and parliamentary law. Robert’s rules is somewhat antiquated in this day and age because it was written over a hundred years ago for different circumstances and many people find it difficult to understand or to follow, but nonetheless, many, many organizations use Robert’s rules, nonetheless, because it’s been around for a long time and still is considered by many the gold standard in parliamentary rules. It’s a book, it’s a book.
