When Are Roberts Rules of Order Used?

If the bylaws of an organization provide that Robert’s Rules of Order are the controlling parliamentary authority, then that’s the authority to which the officers of the organization will resort at a meeting of the members of the organization and Robert’s Rules then will dictate how the meeting is run, how members get their say and how decisions are made by the organization.
